SPCP member, Richard Wheeler, named to Joint Commission Standards Review Panel for acute pain assessment and mgmt

The Review Panel will ensure Joint Commission standards possess a strong evidence basis and relationship to patient outcomes, support a health care organization's delivery of safe, quality care, and possess compelling benefits to patients and staff that justify cost.  "I am honored for the opportunity to serve on the JC review panel working along with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists in the development of standards for this important topic," says Wheeler.
